Greatest Show on Dirt

Omaha, Nebraska hold in it a little gem of Americana. In the middle of nowhere exists a ballpark called Rosenblatt Stadium, the host to the College World Series. Inside the stadium there are ZERO ads, NO commercials, and THOUSANDS of rabid fans. I can't think of a more pure art of baseball I've withnessed. Even aside from the games we watched, the experience of the CWS was awesome. Game 1 involved a group of Florida State fans clapping for every single opposing pitch (like waving your hands on a free-throw). Game 2 involved the outfield bleacher fans shouting in perfect unison back and forth from left to right field YOU SUCK! (crude, but ultimately great to watch.) I hope someday to return here to visit more of the games, the fan zone, the personalities. Short and sweet, it was a great day to be an American.
